THE AIM AND SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE 

The conference is intended to give a review of biotechnological research and to stimulate the international co-operation in this field between Austria, Poland and other Central-European countries.

Academic and industrial organizations are welcome to present their research facilities, current projects and their offers for potential co-operation. It is also expected that the Conference will help the participants to find partners for future joint projects, e.g. within the 6th Framework Program of the European Union

PRESENTATION FORMS

Only oral presentations will be accepted for the conference program:

· Invited talk             (35 min. + 5 min. for questions/discussion)

· Contributed talk   (15 min. + 5 min. for questions/discussion)

· Advertisement      (10 min.)

 

One-page abstracts in English, conforming with the Instruction for Authors (see below) should be sent by e-mail to scicont.viennapan@ycn.com  not later than on September 27, 2004, until 12:00 (extended deadline).

Complete manuscripts of presentations should be submitted on the first day of the Conference in a hard copy duplicate and in an electronic version (on a floppy disc or CD).


Data projectors (beamers) for computer-based presentations and regular overhead projectors will be available during the conference sessions.

 

REGISTRATION 

These, who wish to attend the Conference, should register using the Registration Form (see below) until October 15, 2004.
Early registration is recommended, as the number of participants will be limited. Persons sending abstracts of contributed talks or advertisements will have priority. No registration fee is required.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS 

All abstracts of invited, as well as contributed papers, should be on one A4 page (typing area: 16.5cm x 23 cm, typefont: Times New Roman 12pt). 

Abstracts should include: the title (14 pt boldface font, regular sentence capitalization – do not use all capitals), authors' names (if more than one  authors, presenting author underlined), affiliations (should include institution,  location and country, 12 pt italic font), e-mail address of the corresponding author. 

They should be submitted by e-mail to  scicont.viennapan@ycn.com as an attachment. The following formats are accepted: pdf, postscript, rtf. 

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is September 27, 2004, 12:00.
