After the welcome address, held by Mr. Professor Herman, Professor.
Dr. Adam Zielinski presented the lecturer of the evening, Doz. Dr.
Ewa Geller.
She hypothezed in her
extremely interesting lecture, that Yiddish is based on the
syntactic structures of slavic languages.
This hypothesis
implicated a vivid discussion after the lecture, which outstanding
chairman was Professor Adam Zielinski. He impressed the
audience both by his impressing knowledge related to the topic
and by his outstanding and charming sense of humor. Several
scientists of Slavistic and Judaistic Institute, Vienna University,
participated in the seminar, Univ. Prof. Dr. W. Leitsch,
Vienna University and Professor J.Allerhand Vienna.University
among them.
