- Chronicle of events -

    On 21. November 2000, the solemn farewell took place in the Scientific Center of the Polish Academy of the Sciences (PASc.). In the presence of the president of the Academy, Professor Dr. hab. Miroslaw Mossakowski, the previous director of the center, Prof. Dr. hab. Franciszek Grucza, was ceremoniously farewelled, Professor Dr. hab. Marian Augustyn Herman was inaugurated as the new director of the center - he has been  in  office since 15 November 2001.

    About 30 persons, invited by  the organizers of the evening and  from  the following circles, participated in the celebration: Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Austria, Viennese Polonia, office of the Polish Academy of  Sciences (PASc) as well as the employees of the center in Vienna.
